Taking Care of Your Piece
All pieces are hand-crafted with high-quality epoxy resin, pigmented with acrylic paints, alcohol inks and/or mica pigments. Each item is unique! Resin art is just that, an art! As such, you may find tiny anomalies in your item like bubbles, ‘fish eyes’ or fibers. These anomalies are inherent to the process. Although I make every effort to avoid them, they sometimes do occur. I would never present a piece with an anomaly that I believe detracts from the beauty of the piece.
Although the resin used to create charcuterie boards is food safe, the resin-adorned portion of the board should be considered decorative. To preserve its safety and beauty, please do not cut on or place food on the resin-adorned portion of your piece. Use the wood or stone portion of the board/tray to display your edible items. To refresh the wood/stone portion of your board/tray, use a food-safe oil (i.e. butcher block oil, coconut oil).
Resin is a very durable surface, but please know that micro scratches can occur over time and generally do not detract from the beauty of the art. To clean, use a non-abrasive cloth with mild soap for kitchen items and glass cleaner for tables, trays, and wall art.
Unfortunately, resin art does not fair well outside. All resin ambers over time, especially with exposure to UV light. Although I use the highest quality resin, you will likely notice some yellowing of the whites and clear portions of the art over time. I hope you will embrace this natural process!
